MAB – MUSEO AFRO BRAZIL |
Image film for MAB with focus on the educational team.
|
The late brasilian sculptor and museum director Emanuel Araujo created the Museu Afro Brasil in São Paulo. Initially presenting his vast collection of African Art it now is the most important institution representing black cultural identity in brasil. The educational work of the museum is outstanding and I created a film highlighting their work and the educators.

Collaboration between Brazilian sculptor Romer De Andrade Lima and choreographer Renata Mattar in front of the MAB (Museo Afro Brasil), São Paulo. Black and White, full of expressive emotion you can not find in Europe. The gentleman handing the candle at the beginning is the amazing sculptor and museums director Emanoel Araujo.

The film is in itself also a research on how films can be viewed. I developed the idea of editing the film for a dancing audience:
the takes are longer and the entire soundtrack and all interviews have continuing music. We have screened it in London and various places in Brasil. |

First two parts of a documentary about the rio based artist and the work about the loss of her father. Result of a truly magical studio visit with Guilherme Vergara.
